The Ten Commandments of Fantasy Football
Use Fantasy Football’s 10 Commandments as rules for friendly fantasy leagues with friends, family and coworkers, that you trust. They’re designed to get everyone on the same page in groups that can be counted on to play by the spirit of the rules.
1. Fantasy Football is a game, let’s all have fun.
2. Buy in on time.
Dues must be paid at least 48 hours before the start of the draft unless alternative arrangements are made.
3. Settings specifics are on platform.
For scoring settings, free agent system, draft settings, playoffs, tie breakers, etc. please see on the league’s fantasy platform. If it is set or controlled on the platform read about it there, but please contact the commissioner and co-commissioner with any questions.
4. Play to the end.
Owners are expected to stay engaged (at least setting lineups) throughout the season and to field their arguable best team, whether in or out of contention.
5. Don’t fade away.
Play to win every week even if out of contention and if you wish to resign, contact the commissioner ASAP.
6. No collusion.
If it involves off platform incentives or advantages another manager without a relatively similar upside to you, it’s probably collusion.
7. Commissioner is good.
Respect and believe the commissioner always has the league’s best interest at heart, even if you disagree with decisions made. As soon as you don’t this is no longer the league for you.
8. No important mid season changes.
Scoring, draft order, playoff seeding, and other competitive settings are only changed midseason with unanimous consent.
9. Be a good sport.
If a move seems unfair, falls in a gray area in the rules or goes against the culture of the league ask the commissioner first.
10. Fantasy Football is a game, let’s all have fun.
